Sonia set up Babygrand Productions with Claire Evans in 2013. The
independent television production company generates ideas tailored to the
UK's favourite on-screen faces.
"We are a small, bespoke indie with big ideas. We've kept our portfolio small
and noisy - like our name - and we're thrilled to be part of the Rare TV group
who continue to encourage and support us during our first stage of running
our own company"

Talent Development

Sonia works with independent production companies as a talent
and casting consultant, fixing presenters and creating ideas around our
favourite TV faces. She also works as a celebrity booker bringing A-list faces
to a variety of landmark programmes and series.

She regularly runs development awaydays for production companies including
Endemol Shine, 360 Production.

Sonia has worked as on-screen talent and development consultant for STV,
Maverick, Reef TV, Maker Studios, Attaboy TV, Silver River, Love Productions,
Blink FIlms Mentorn Media, Princess Productions, Tiger Aspect, ITN Factual
and Twister Films.

She has worked in-house BBC Entertainment and BBC Pebble Mill creating
new format ideas, casting A-list faces and identify emerging new on-screen

Ideas Creation

Creative ideas development is the life blood of television and Sonia has run
programme development teams for BBC Pebble Mill, ITN Factual,
The Children's Company and worked as a Development Executive for Tiger
Aspect, ITN Factual, Princess Productions ITV and Channel 4 on various ideas
including "Chateau Monty", "Make me a Supermodel", "The Great Garden
Detective", "House Auction", "Britain's Worst ...", "Celebrity mastermind" and
"Watercolour Challenge".

As Head of On-Screen talent for Mentorn she was part of the team to bring
"An Idiot Abroad" to SKY1 and brought John Sergeant, David Suchet, The
Hairy Bikers and Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen into the company's talent rosta.

Having run development teams and created training courses for developing
ideas, Sonia is very experienced in bringing out the best creative thinking in
teams, creating an environment in which to creatively excel and engendering
the "No idea is a bad idea" into the everyday working of a highly productive

Brainbox Creative Training

Sonia invented the BRAINBOX TRAINING course while at Tiger
Aspect Television which continues to be a programme development course for
production companies introducing staff to ideas creation.

The course breaks down into three sections:

How to initiate and imagine new ideas from original sources,
what you see around
you and from the depths of your imagination

Techniques to turn your idea into a pitchable proposal.

The "Dragons Den" technique of creating the perfect pitch for
your idea.
